Public Toilets

Whitby Town Council manages the public toilets on New Quay Road, Pier Road, West Cliff, the Abbey Headland and in the Market Place. We also run the toilets in Ruswarp.

We charge 50p to enter the public toilets so that these are available to anyone who wants to use them without the cost falling on the council tax payers of Whitby.

Our turnstiles accept cash and cashless payments.

There may be temporary closures of individual toilets to carry out maintenance work to the building.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Our toilets are regularly cleaned. Please be mindful of government advice on hand hygiene and social distancing when using any public toilet.

The opening times vary depending on the season.
