Extra Care schemes - developing community hubs

North Yorkshire County Council's Care and Support Where I Live Strategy sets out the county's approach to the provision of care and support where people live. One of the key proposals set out within the strategy is to expand the number of extra care schemes across North Yorkshire and develop community hubs in some of these schemes.

A desktop review of the likely demand for extra care housing in Whitby has been undertaken and this shows that there is potential demand for a scheme. We would like to hear your views on the proposal to develop an extra care housing scheme on part of the Whitby Hospital site and we will be holding two community drop-in events at Whitby Library, Windsor Terrace, Whitby, YO21 1EY on:-

Tuesday 9 November 2021 between 2.00 pm and 6.30 pm
and
Friday 12 November 2021 between 10.30 and 2.00 pm
